I love the zingy lime green of these Gladioli, they have slightly ruffled petals, grow to about 1m & love being in the sun.

They’re a half hardy perennial corm, I don’t bother lifting mine, but I have extremely free draining soil (it is like dust) so they are never standing in any wet over winter to rot, & all my beds are raised for my ease of gardening. I bought these from Farmer Gracy

Corms are different to bulbs in that corms are solid internally, they are structurally a type of swollen, starchy underground stem tissue. Bulbs are a modified shoot made of specialised leaves & are composed of fleshy overlapping leaf scales that store food.

Well that’s about the last of my green flowers for a while I think.

However; my garden is my playground, lots going on, I’m having a move around again: moved a Paulowina tree today that I grew from seed three years ago - got a few things to tell you about that; & I’m busy collecting seed atm so will be posting to tell you about that too; also been harvesting something interesting, oh there’s so much to tell you about but I’m making the most of the weather too as it is a very busy time in the garden - keep an eye out!
