If you’re a follower , you’ll know by know I have a penchant for green flowers; & if you don’t already know, it might become obvious somewhere in my next half dozen or so posts lol
Nicotianas are nice, alright… but two nicotianas are very nice & certainly worth making room for…one of which is this Nicotiana Langsdorffii.

I love how airy they are at their 70-90cm height.
In fact there are so many things I love about it: the fragrance; how much it attracts bees & other pollinators; that it is as happy in sun or shade, & that it self seeds. I had not been able to sow seeds this year due to my arthritis & having injections in my fingers & palms of my hands for trigger finger & it reached early summer & I realised I would miss not having the Nicotiana. I thought I should have just scattered some seeds like I had the Scarlet Flax….when I started to notice those beautiful familiar basal rosettes of leaves appearing.

I just love these nodding small bell shaped lime green flowers so much.
Staying on the theme of the last few posts, they also make fantastic cut flowers too if you are keen to support ’grownnotflown’ & being mindful of your sustainability.
I bet you’ll be surprised to learn my other favourite Nicotiana isn’t another green one like alanta Lime Green, (even though I do like Tinkerbell & might need to make room for that soon lol )
